Charlotte, NC (September 20, 2020) – Police in Charlotte responded to an accident with injuries on Saturday morning around 7:45 a.m. The crash took place at the intersection of Yorkmont Road and Beam Road.
When police arrived at the crash scene, they discovered a single-vehicle accident on the southwest side of the city. The vehicle that was involved in the crash had overturned and was resting on its side. Rescue workers and paramedics also responded to assist with the accident. Crews transported three people from the vehicle to a nearby hospital. One of the victims was suffering from life-threatening injuries following the collision. None of the victims have been identified at this time.
The intersection was closed to allow utility workers to make repairs to a telephone pole that was struck by the vehicle. Motorists in the area were advised to use caution.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing at this time. There is no additional information available.
