Clemmons, NC (September 10, 2021)— A 34-year-old man was killed in a car accident that took place on Interstate 40 in Clemmons. The accident happened around 12:30 p.m.
According to a report from the scene, Marcus Deal was traveling westbound in a white sedan when he crashed into a disabled tractor-trailer that was located off the roadway. Deal’s car suffered substantial damage. He also sustained critical injuries and died at the accident scene. There were no other vehicles involved in the collision and no other injuries were reported. Troopers with the North Carolina State Highway Patrol are investigating the crash at this time.
Motorists in the area were advised to avoid the scene. There is no word on whether any charges are expected to be filed at this time.
