Davidson County, NC (April 13, 2021) – A pedestrian was injured following a crash involving a tractor-trailer in Davidson County on Tuesday afternoon. The accident happened around 2:25 p.m. along Interstate 85.
According to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, the pedestrian was walking near the southbound lanes of the highway when they were struck by the tractor-trailer. The unidentified victim suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to a hospital in Lexington for further treatment. The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured in the collision. There is no information on the events leading up to the accident. Police are still investigating at this time and it is unknown whether any charges are expected to be filed.
