Davie County, NC (March 1, 2021) – Police responded to an accident in Davie County on Monday, March 1st. The incident happened around 7:00 a.m. on Interstate 40 near Highway 801 and the Yadkin River Bridge.
According to a report from the scene, multiple cars were involved in the collision. The exact number of vehicles involved, however, is not known at this time. There is no word on how the accident took place. Rescue officials arrived and transported one person to the hospital for treatment of undisclosed injuries. The wreck caused extensive delays in the eastbound lanes of I-40 as police worked to clear the scene and to investigate. The identity of the injured victim is not available.
