Fatal Car Accidents in North Carolina
North Carolina car accidents are reported daily across our state. Both drivers, as well as passengers, are normally at equal risk of being injured in a car accident. According to statistics maintained by the North Carolina Department of Transporation, nearly 80,000 people were injured in accidents that took place throughout North Carolina in 2019. There are a wide variety of causes for car accidents but most of them share the common denominator of a negligent driver being involved.
Each car accident must be carefully investigated by authorities in order to determine the cause. All crash victims who are injured by negligent drivers in our state could be entitled to compensation for their injuries. In cases involving death, the victim’s personal representative has the ability to step in and file a wrongful death claim on behalf of their loved one. The laws surrounding car accidents in North Carolina are very complicated and these claims should only be handled by a skilled and experienced attorney with knowledge of this particular area of the law. This is particularly true if your loved one has been killed in the crash. In this case, you should need an attorney with substantial experience and knowledge in this area.
