Durham, NC (January 24, 2021) – Police responded to the scene of a serious car accident in Durham on Saturday, January 23rd. The accident took place just before 2:30 p.m. on North Carolina Highway 98 near Valleydale Drive.
The Durham County Sheriff’s Office responded to the accident scene just after the crash occurred. According to reports, all directions of the four-lane road were closed to traffic. There were injuries reported in the crash but the nature and extent of the injuries is not clear at this time. The roadway remained closed until approximately 5:00 p.m. There is no word on the identities of those involved or the events that led up to the crash. It is not clear if any charges are being filed.
The accident is under investigation by the North Carolina State Highway Patrol. There is no further information available at this time.
