Fayetteville, NC (February 19, 2021) – Police in Fayetteville responded to the scene of a fatal car accident on Friday night. The crash took place just before 9:00 p.m. on Raeford Road near the area of Ireland Drive and Montclair Road.
According to a report from the Fayetteville Police Department, two vehicles collided with one another on Raeford Road. After the initial impact, one of the cars then struck a utility pole. The driver of the vehicle that hit the utility pole died at the crash scene. That driver has not been identified at this time. There is no information on whether any other victims were injured as a result of the accident. The cause of the crash is not known and it is not clear whether any charges are expected to be filed.
An investigation into the accident remains ongoing at this time. There is no additional information available.
