Fayetteville, NC (February 24, 2021) – A 24-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run crash that took place in Fayetteville on Tuesday, February 23rd. The crash happened on Morganton Road.
According to officers with the Fayetteville Police Department, Justice Shapson Ferreira was riding a 2003 Suzuki GSX-R600 near Evanston Street around 9:40 p.m. Ferreira lost control of his motorcycle and fell into the roadway. While in the road, Ferreria was struck by a 2006 Toyota Camry driven by Carol James Allen. Allen fled the scene following the crash and was later located by police. Upon being located, he was charged with felony hit-and-run and was taken to jail before being released on a $25,000 unsecured bond.
