Fayetteville, NC (September 25, 2020) – A pedestrian was killed in a crash that took place in Fayetteville on Friday, September 25th. The crash happened around 4:00 a.m. in the 1700 block of Owen Drive.
The Fayetteville Police Department was dispatched to the scene shortly after the accident occurred. According to a report, the pedestrian was walking in or near the roadway when he was hit by an undescribed vehicle. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene following the crash. EMS and rescue crews later arrived at the scene and transported the injured pedestrian to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. His identity has not been released at this time.
There is no word on what led up to the crash and police have not said whether any charges are expected to be filed as a result of the collision. There is no further information available at this time.
