Fayetteville, NC (July 25, 2021) – A 30-year-old man was killed in a crash that took place in Fayetteville on Saturday, July 24th. The accident took place around 1:50 p.m. on Hope Mills Road near Poplar Drive.
The Fayetteville Police Department responded to the accident scene. According to a report, 30-year-old Monterio Thomas Rosado was riding a Suzuki motorcycle. The motorcycle was involved in a crash with three other vehicles, a Ford Escape, a Chevrolet Tahoe, and a Hyundai Accident. Following impact, Rosando was ejected from his bike. He died at the accident scene. The Ford and Hyundai struck each other, causing the Hyundai to hit a tree and the Ford to roll over.
Three occupants of the Ford were taken to a local hospital for treatment. A 14-year-old passenger was airlifted to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. The cause of the crash is still under investigation at this time. There are no further details available.
There is no word on whether any charges are expected to be filed. An investigation is ongoing.
