Fort Bragg, NC (June 22, 2021) – A soldier from Fort Bragg died in a car accident that took place on Thursday, June 17th. The crash happened around 9:15 a.m. on Raeford Vass Road near the intersection with Plank Road.
Police and rescue workers responded to reports of a car accident in the area shortly after the crash occurred. According to police, there were at least two injuries in addition to the soldier’s death. All three victims were soldiers who were traveling to a training range when the collision occurred. There is no word at this time on the cause of the crash but it has been deemed accidental. Police have not identified those involved and there is no information on whether any charges are expected to be filed. It is not clear how many vehicles were involved in the accident.
