Garner, NC (June 19, 2020) – A 65-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run pedestrian crash on Highway 70 in Garner on Wednesday night. The crash happened around 11:45 p.m. near Mechanical Boulevard.
Police say that 65-year-old Theodore Bell of Milwaukee was crossing over the eastbound lanes of US 70 when he was hit by a 2012 Hyundai, driven by Jamieson Blashaw. Blashaw left the scene after striking Bell. Authorities later arrived and pronounced Bell dead at the scene.
Following a search, Blashaw was located by police. He was charged with felony hit-and-run. There is no word on whether any other charges are expected. No further information has been released.
