Gastonia, NC (November 3, 2020) – One person was hurt following a crash involving a car and a train in Gastonia on Tuesday. The crash took place around 4:30 p.m. on Bush Street near South York Road.
According to police, a vehicle was on the train track when it was hit by a Norfolk Southern train. The Gaston EMS also responded to the crash scene to provide aid to the injured victim. The driver of the car was transported to the hospital in an unknown condition. There were no other injuries reported in the accident. The victim has not been identified at this time.
The North Carolina State Highway Patrol is still investigating the accident at this time. There is no additional information available.
