Gates County, NC (August 28, 2020) – The North Carolina State Highway Patrol responded to a crash that took place in Gates County on Friday, August 28th. The crash happened around 4:00 p.m. on Highway 158 near Folly Road and Acorn Hill.
According to troopers, there were two vehicles involved in the crash. There is no word on how the accident took place at this time. Rescue workers arrived shortly after the collision occurred. One person was pronounced dead as a result of injuries sustained in the accident. Five more people suffered undisclosed injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. There is no word on their conditions at this time. Police have not released the identity of those involved in the crash.
An investigation is ongoing at this time. There is no additional information available.
