Pedestrian Accidents in North Carolina
Each day across North Carolina, there are numerous pedestrian accidents that take place. These incidents occur throughout all areas of the state, including major cities and rural areas, and can happen on busy highways or quiet neighborhood roads. All pedestrians, regardless of their location, are at risk of being struck and seriously hurt in a crash involving a motor vehicle. Pedestrian accidents in North Carolina can cause serious and life-altering injuries for victims. Drivers must always remain alert for pedestrians, and especially for young pedestrians, while they are driving.
If you or a loved one have sustained injuries in a North Carolina pedestrian accident, you are likely to need legal representation. Many pedestrian accidents occur due to driver negligence. If this is the case, you could have valuable legal rights against the negligent driver, including the right to file a lawsuit in order to obtain compensation for your injuries. In cases where you were seriously hurt, the stakes are high and you should never attempt to handle the matter on your own as you could end up selling yourself short and not receiving the amount of compensation to which you are legally entitled.
