Greensboro, NC (December 6, 2021) – A woman from Greensboro was killed in a two-vehicle crash that took place on Friday, December 3rd. The accident was reported in the 3200 block of East Gate City Boulevard near the ramp for I-40 eastbound.
The Greensboro Police Department responded to the scene just before 7:00 p.m. According to police, 20-year-old Michelle Espino, of Greensboro, was driving a 2014 Toyota Corolla westbound on Gate City. Espino tried to make a left turn onto I-40 but her car collided with a 2020 Toyota Tacoma driven by a 57-year-old man from Julian.
Espino was taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries following the crash. Her passenger, 42-year-old Emma Dorado was later pronounced dead at a local hospital. The Tacoma driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Police are still investigating the accident. There is no additional information available.
