Greensboro, NC – Driver Flees After Striking, Killing Pedestrian on I-85

Greensboro, NC (February 22, 2021) – A person was killed in a crash that took place on I-85 in Guilford County. The crash happened on Monday, February 22nd around 2:15 a.m.

The North Carolina State Highway Patrol was among the agencies that responded to the accident scene. According to a report from troopers, a man was walking in the road when he was struck by a vehicle that was traveling southbound on I-85. The man, who has not been identified at this time, was pronounced dead by rescue officials. The driver fled the accident scene before police could arrive. The identity of the victim has not been released at this time. There is no description available of the vehicle in question.
