Greensboro, NC (May 3, 2021) – Police in Greensboro responded to the scene of a serious car accident on Sunday afternoon. The crash took place in the westbound lanes of Interstate 40 near Mount Hope Church Road.
According to officers with the Greensboro Police Department, a vehicle was traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes when it collided head-on with another vehicle. At least one person sustained injuries in the accident and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. The condition of the victim is not known at this time and it is not clear how many people were hurt in the accident. The crash caused the westbound lanes to be shut down while officials conducted an investigation. There is no word on charges at this time and the identities of those involved have not been released.
