Greensboro, NC (February 2, 2021) – Police are searching for a suspect following a fatal hit-and-run crash in Greensboro on Monday. The accident took place around 8:30 p.m. on Summit Avenue near Cody Avenue.
According to police, 26-year-old Jonathan Emmanuel Smith was walking on Summit when he was hit by a white truck. The driver of the truck fled the scene after the accident. Smith was taken to a nearby hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. Police believe that the truck was either a Ford or a Dodge. There is no further description available.
