Greensboro, NC (July 15, 2021) – A pedestrian sustained critical injuries in a hit-and-run crash in Greensboro on Wednesday, July 14th. The crash was reported around 9:20 p.m. at the intersection of Randleman Road and Lawrence Street.
The Greensboro Police Department responded to the scene after an eyewitness called 911. The witness told dispatchers that a man was crossing the road when he was hit by a car. The man was later identified as a 39-year-old from Greensboro. The car that struck the man was a black Toyota Corolla made between 2015 and 2020. The Corolla fled the scene following the accident.
Rescue workers transported the injured victim to a hospital where he was treated for his injuries. He is currently listed in critical condition. Police are still looking for the vehicle and believe that it will have damage to its front grill and a temporary license plate.
