Guilford County, NC (June 16, 2020) – A motorcyclist was hurt in a hit-and-run crash on N.C. 62 in Guilford County. The crash happened around 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 13th.
Troopers with the State Highway Patrol responded to the scene shortly after the incident occurred. According to a report, a motorcycle was traveling on N.C. 62 when a driver failed to stop at a stop sign. As the motorcyclist approached the intersection, he made an evasive maneuver to avoid striking the car. The motorcycle then crashed and overturned.
The driver of the car did not stop following the crash. Rescue workers arrived on the scene and transported the motorcyclist to a hospital for treatment of undisclosed injuries. Police believe that the vehicle is a four-door burgundy passenger car with an out-of-state license plate. Anyone with information on the crash should contact the Highway Patrol at (336) 334-5500.
