Harnett County, NC (November 7, 2020) – A motorcyclist was hurt in a crash that took place in Harnett County on Thursday, November 5th. The crash happened on North Carolina Highway 55 near Oak Grove Church Road.
The North Carolina State Highway Patrol responded to the scene of the accident. According to a report from troopers, the motorcyclist was traveling near the intersection of NC 55 and Oak Grove when a truck drove into its path. The driver of the motorcycle laid down his bike prior to being hit by the truck.
Emergency medical crews arrived on the scene to provide treatment. The motorcyclist was taken to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries while the truck driver was not injured in the crash. There is no information at this time on whether any charges are expected to be filed in connection with the accident. Troopers have not identified those involved.
An investigation remains ongoing. No further information is available.
