High Point, NC (June 12, 2021) – A passenger was hurt in a single-vehicle crash that took place earlier this week in High Point. The crash was reported on Tuesday, June 8th around 3:30 a.m. on Interstate 85 near the exit for Surrett Drive.
The High Point Police Department responded to the crash scene. According to a report from Officer M.P. Snider, Shae Trogdon, of Thomasville, was traveling on I-85 at a high rate of speed when she lost control of the car. The vehicle went off the road to the right and struck a guide wire and a tree before coming to rest. Trogdon’s car sustained heavy damage in the crash. Her passenger, Anthony Lambeth, was hurt in the accident. Lambeth was treated at the scene by EMS before he was taken to High Point Regional Hospital for treatment of undisclosed injuries. Trogdon was not hurt in the accident.
Following an investigation, Trogdon was charged with exceeding a safe speed. There is no indication that impairment played a role in the crash.
