High Point, NC (December 14, 2020) – A man from Thomasville was hurt in a car accident that took place in High Point on Friday, December 11th. The crash happened about 1:30 p.m. on N. Main Street near Louise Avenue.
According to the High Point Police Department, Juan Ballez was driving a 2007 Dodge when he came to a stop in heavy traffic on the roadway. While his vehicle was stationary in the roadway, it was struck from behind by a 2007 Honda driven by Elijah Austin. Following the crash, Austin remained at the scene a Ballez was transported by ambulance to High Pont Regional Hospital for treatment of injuries to his kneck and back. The injuries are not life-threatening. Austin did report any injuries. Police have not provided any details surrounding the cause of the accident.
Police are still investigating the accident. There is no more further information available at this time.
