Injury Accidents in North Carolina
Each time we get behind the wheel of a vehicle, we place ourselves at risk of being injured in an accident. While most people take for granted that a crash can occur at any time, there are tens of thousands of negligent drivers on the roadway at any given time. The actions of these drivers can cause an innocent person to be hurt in a car accident in an instant. According to current statistics, nearly 300,000 people were involved in North Carolina car accidents in 2018 and nearly 80,000 of those crash victims sustained some type of injuries as a result.
Following a car accident in North Carolina, it is important to seek the services of a skilled and experienced attorney as soon as possible. After the crash, you will likely receive calls from the other driver’s insurance company. The adjuster will want you to provide them with a recorded statement of the events leading up to the crash. They will also want to request a copy of your medical bills and records from the accident. The adjuster may make an offer to settle your case, however, in most cases, you should not accept this offer as it is unlikely to fully compensate you for your injuries. Signing a settlement offer too soon can result in you walking away with financial responsibility for a crash that was not your fault.
