Fatal Car Accidents in North Carolina
North Carolina’s fatal crash statistics have remained relatively stable over the past several years. Our state reports, on average, about 1,400 annual fatalities due to traffic accidents. Sadly, many of these accidents are preventable and avoidable if drivers used the required care and caution.
When a driver does not follow traffic and safety laws and an injury crash occurs then that driver can be held responsible for the damages that they have caused. Under North Carolina law, the crash victim may be entitled to reimbursement for their medical bills, lost wages, and pain and suffering. In cases involving death, a North Carolina wrongful death claim can help family members obtain the compensation they need to move forward.
