Injury Accidents in North Carolina
North Carolina is a growing state. With a population of greater than 10 million people, there are a significant number of negligent drivers on our state’s roadways at any given time. Major highways such as Interstate 95 are common sites of serious car accidents. Highways have a higher speed limit and a greater concentration of negligent drivers. When mistakes are made on the highway, they can have very serious and catastrophic consequences.
Under North Carolina law, accident victims may have certain valuable legal rights in the aftermath of a crash. If the other driver was at fault, the victim can recover for a variety of damages. This includes the right to recover for pain and suffering, lost wages, medical bills, and possibly punitive damages.
