Lexington, NC (March 17, 2022) – Officials in Lexington were called to the scene of a serious car accident on Wednesday, March 16th. The accident happened around 4:00 p.m. on North Carolina Highway 150 near Lamb Road.
According to Trooper Ned Moultrie of the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, a 1999 Dodge pickup truck was traveling southbound on Highway 150 when the driver crossed the center line and collided with an oncoming 2002 Nissan pickup truck. Both drivers suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries in the accident. The victims were transported to Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center for treatment of their injuries. Neither driver has been identified at this time.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation at this time. No further details have been released.
