Morrisville, NC (November 15, 2021) – A teenager was killed in a violent crash that took place in Morrisville over the weekend. The accident happened around 1:00 a.m. on Morrisville Parkway near the intersection with Duck Pond Circle.
According to police, a 17-year-old female was traveling westbound on Morrisville Parkway when she lost control of her vehicle. The car crossed a median and flipped multiple times before coming to rest. 18-year-old Jonathan Pooley, of Apex, was thrown from the car following the accident. Pooley died at the scene as a result of his injuries. Another teen was also ejected in the crash and was taken to a local hospital in critical condition. A third victim suffered serious injuries. The driver sustained minor injuries.
Police are still looking into the accident at this time. It is believed that speed and alcohol were possible factors in the crash.
