Pender County, NC (August 26, 2021) – Authorities in Pender County responded to the scene of a deadly car accident on Thursday morning. The crash occurred around 10:30 a.m. on U.S. Highway 17 north near Scots Hill and Hampstead.
The North Carolina State Highway Patrol responded to the crash scene. When troopers arrived, they discovered a serious accident involving two cars. One person was pronounced dead at the scene. Another victim was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of serious injuries. There is no word at this time on the victim’s condition or the identities of those involved.
