Car Accidents in North Carolina
A North Carolina car accident is a stressful and often life-changing event. According to numbers released by the North Carolina Department of Transportation, there were nearly 300,000 car accidents in our state in the year 2018. Of these crashes, nearly 80,000 people suffered reportable injuries. A car accident in North Carolina can turn your life upside down, causing you to experience physical pain and suffering. The crash may also harm you mentally and financially, as you struggle to return to the life that you enjoyed before the accident. In some cases, injuries can linger for weeks and months after the accident itself.
If you find yourself in this position, it is important to remember that there is help available. Under North Carolina law, you could be entitled to compensation if you were hurt in a crash that was not your fault. The settlement you receive could help compensate you for pain and suffering, medical bills, lost wages, and potentially more. Receiving the amount you deserve should be your top priority so that you can fully recover from your injuries without additional hardship. For this reason, it is imperative to speak with a skilled attorney who can protect your legal rights.
