Raleigh, NC (May 24, 2020) – A bicyclist was taken to the hospital following a crash on I-540 in Raleigh. The crash took place on Saturday, May 23rd near Leesville Road.
According to the State Highway Patrol, a female driver was exiting onto Leesville Road from I-530 when she struck the bicyclist. The woman stopped at the scene following the crash. Paramedics rushed the bicyclist to Duke Hospital with serious injuries. He has not been identified at this time and there is no further update on his condition.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
