Raleigh, NC (May 26, 2020) – A crash involving three vehicles took place in Raleigh on Monday, May 25th. The crash was reported around 5:45 p.m. in the westbound lanes of Interstate 40 near Rock Quarry Road.
The Raleigh Police Department, along with the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, responded to the scene. According to officers, a black Dodge came to a stop for slow traffic when it was hit behind by a truck. A third car then collided with the first two vehicles.
Rescue workers arrived on the scene shortly after the crash. There were injuries reported in the crash but none of them were believed to be life-threatening.
The crash closed the roadway until about 7:15 p.m.
