Raleigh, NC (February 7, 2022) – Officials in Raleigh responded to the scene of a double fatal accident on Sunday, February 6th. The crash took place around 11:00 p.m. on Brier Creek Parkway.
According to a report, two vehicles were traveling in the same direction in the 9600 block of the roadway when the cars collided with one another. One of the vehicles veered off the roadway and struck a tree. Two occupants of that car died in the accident.
Following the crash, police arrested 32-year-old Jose Saul Diaz-Morales of Durham. Diaz-Morales was charged with driving while impaired in connection with the accident. There were no reports of any other injuries as a result of the collision. Drivers were advised to avoid the area while authorities worked at the scene. Police are still investigating at this time.
