Randolph County, NC (April 29, 2021) – A 3-year-old child was hit by a car in Randolph County on Thursday afternoon. The collision took place around 3:30 p.m. near Asheboro on Miles Moffitt Road.
According to the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, a person was operating a vehicle in a yard when the car struck a child who was outside. The car also struck a house before coming to rest. The child was airlifted to a local hospital to be treated for serious injuries. There were no additional injuries reported as a result of the accident and there is no word on the child’s condition at this time. The driver of the car has not been identified.
An investigation into the crash is underway at this time. There is no further information available.
