Robeson County, NC (May 7, 2021) – A woman from Raleigh was killed in a motorcycle crash that took place in Robeson County last weekend. The crash took place on Saturday, May 1st along North Carolina Highway 71.
According to troopers with the Highway Patrol, Megan Beale, of Hope Mills. was operating a vehicle southbound on N.C. 71 when she crossed over the centerline and collided head-on with a motorcycle driven by 43-year-old Jodi Kintop, of Raleigh. Kintop’s bike struck the curb and then a utility pole before coming to rest. She was pronounced dead at the accident scene. Beale was not injured and no other vehicles were involved. Motorists were advised to avoid the scene or to find alternate routes of travel.
Following an investigation, police charged Beale with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle. No further information is available.
