Fatal Accidents in North Carolina
Car accidents in North Carolina can be devastating and life-altering events. While there are actions that can be taken to reduce the risk of being involved in a crash, not all crashes are avoidable. Unfortunately, with the number of negligent drivers that are on our roadways, many crash victims can end up being injured or killed in a crash in which they were completely innocent. In 2018, more than 1,400 people lost their lives in North Carolina car accidents. While each crash is different than any other and must be carefully investigated, it is common to see serious and fatal crashes caused by the negligent actions of one driver.
Under North Carolina law, car accident victims may have certain rights if they have been injured in a crash that was not their fault. Following an accident, you are likely suffering from physical pain and economic hardship, and you could have a long road to recovery. After a serious accident, it can take weeks and months until you are cleared to resume some of the activities that you enjoyed prior to the crash. During this time, it is crucial to have an attorney who is fighting to protect your legal rights so that you can focus on your healing and recovery.
At Burton Law Firm, we treat each client’s case with the care and compassion that it deserves. Our dedicated attorneys and staff work hard to ensure quality representation that exceeds expectations.
