Salisbury, NC (June 21, 2021) – An 18-year-old was killed in a motorcycle crash that took place in Salisbury on Saturday, June 19th. The crash happened just after 2:00 p.m. on Jake Alexander Boulevard at Julian Road.
According to Sgt. Russ DeSantis of the Salisbury Police Department, 18-year-old Caleb Jarvis was riding his motorcycle southbound on Jake Alexander when he collided with a Chevrolet Malibu as the Malibu attempted to make a left turn onto Julian Road. Jarvis was thrown from the motorcycle and died at the crash scene. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the collision. The driver of the Malibu, who was not identified, was not injured in the crash. Both the Malibu and the motorcycle suffered heavy front-end damage. Motorists were asked to avoid the area.
Police continue to investigate. There is no word if any charges are expected to be filed.
