Sanford, NC (April 23, 2021) – The North Carolina State Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a serious accident in Sanford on Wednesday night. The crash took place around 9:00 p.m. on North Carolina Highway 87 near Olivia Road and Swanns Station Road.
Troopers report that at least one person was hurt in the collision. There is no word at this time on the events leading up to the crash. The condition of the injured victim was not immediately available. No one involved in the crash has been identified at this time. The incident resulted in the roadway being closed while police were investigating at the scene. Motorists were advised to use caution and to avoid the area if possible.
