Fatal Crashes in North Carolina
Deadly car accidents in North Carolina occur on a daily basis. In 2019, approximately 1,400 people lost their lives in crashes on our state’s roadways. Sadly, many of these victims were innocent individuals who were killed due to the actions of negligent and careless motorists. Drivers who make bad decisions are responsible for the vast majority of reported North Carolina car accidents. This includes reckless driving, speeding, distraction, and impaired driving, among other things.
If you have lost a loved one in a car accident, you are no doubt experiencing one of the most difficult times in your life. The pain and frustration can leave you feeling depressed and hopeless. Fortunately, you do have legal rights during this time. If your loved one was killed through no fault of their own, it is important to speak with an attorney about filing a wrongful death claim against the responsible driver. Under North Carolina law, these actions can afford valuable compensation for families in need after a sudden tragedy.
