Trinity, NC (August 30, 2022) – Officials in Trinity responded to the scene of a deadly head-on crash on Monday, August 29th. The accident took place around 9:00 p.m. on Finch Farm Road at the intersection with Saddle Club Drive.
According to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, an 18-year-old woman was operating an Acura TSX on Finch Farm Road. At the same time, a Ford Escape was traveling in the opposite direction. For unknown reasons, the Acura left its lane of travel and crossed the center line causing a crash between the two vehicles. An 18-year-old passenger in the Acura was killed in the crash. The driver of that vehicle suffered life-threatening injuries and was rushed to a local hospital.
Two occupants of the Ford, a 57-year-old woman and a 14-year-old sustained serious injuries and were taken to a hospital in Greensboro. Police have not determined the cause of the accident at this time. Charges are pending the outcome of an investigation.
