Union County, NC (June 8, 2021) – One person was killed in a head-on accident that happened on Tuesday, June 7th in Union County. The collision occurred around 3:30 p.m. on North Carolina Highway 218 near Price Tucker Road and Unionville-Brief Road.
The Union County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene. According to deputies, there were two vehicles involved in the accident. In addition to the deceased victim, at least two others were hurt and taken to a local hospital for treatment. Their conditions have not been released at this time. There is no information on the cause of the accident. Motorists were advised to avoid the area and to find alternate routes of travel if possible. There is no word on the identities of the victims.
