Hit-and-Run Accidents in North Carolina
Every year in North Carolina, there are hundreds of thousands of reported motor vehicle accidents. In 2019, approximately 80,000 people were hurt in North Carolina car accidents. While drivers are legally required to remain at the scene of a crash, many of them choose not to. This is often the case when the driver is aware that they have caused a serious crash and they are hoping to avoid being held legally responsible for their actions. A hit-and-run accident in North Carolina can have devastating effects on both victims and their families and can be extremely frustrating when seeking recovery from the other driver.
If you or a loved one were injured in a hit-and-run accident, it is important to seek the help of an experienced attorney right away. Locating available sources of insurance coverage is especially important in this scenario. Even if the driver is not located, your attorney can ensure that you have available coverage to pay for your medical bills and the other costs of the crash.
