North Carolina Car Accidents
There are more than 250,000 reported car accidents in North Carolina each year and the numbers continue to get larger. Between 2014 and 2019, our state saw an increase of over 40,000 total accidents per year. As our state’s population continues to grow, we can expect to see more drivers traveling on the roadway and also a continued increase in the number of accidents that occur. While not all car accidents will result in injuries, many of them, unfortunately, will. In 2019, nearly 80,000 people sustained injuries in North Carolina car accidents. A substantial percentage of these victims were hurt by the careless and reckless actions of others. Negligent driving plays a major role in many car accidents that occur across our state.
In North Carolina, when you have been injured by the negligence of another person you could have valuable legal rights. If you were not at fault for the crash it is important to speak with a qualified attorney as soon as possible to determine what your case might be worth and how best to handle your claim. You could be entitled to recover your medical bills, lost wages, pain and suffering, and possibly more.
