North Carolina Injury Accidents
North Carolina can be a dangerous place for motorists. Each year, there are about 300,000 reported traffic accidents that take place across our state. Not all of these crashes involve injuries. However, in 2019, there were about 80,000 people hurt in North Carolina car accidents. Some of these victims suffered serious injuries that resulted in extensive medical treatment and a long road to recovery. Most car accidents in North Carolina are caused by the actions of a negligent driver, including drivers who are distracted, speeding, or impaired. In many collisions, an innocent victim is left to suffer the consequences of the negligent driver’s actions.
When you have been injured in a crash, it is normal to feel helpless and anxious about your future. As you struggle to move forward following the accident, it is important to remember that you may have valuable legal rights. Under our state’s law, you could be entitled to recover compensation for your injuries. This includes payment for your medical and prescription bills, pain and suffering, lost wages, and potentially more. Certainly, the accident itself can be a stressful and devastating experience but it does not have to define your future.
