Wilmington, NC (July 30, 2020) – A man was seriously hurt following a motorcycle accident in Wilmington on Thursday, July 30th. The crash reportedly took place in the 800 block of Eastwood Road.
The Wilmington Police Department was called to the scent of the accident shortly after it took place. According to officers, a motorcyclist was riding on Eastwood near the intersection with Tanbridge Road. At the same time, a car was traveling from the opposite direction towards the intersection. The driver of the car turned in front of the motorcycle causing the two vehicles to collide. The motorcyclist was ejected from his bike as a result of the accident. He received severe injuries and was rushed to New Hanover Regional Medical Center for treatment. There is no further update on his condition at this time and no other injuries were reported.
Neither the motorcyclist nor the driver have been identified by authorities. An investigation into the crash is ongoing. There is no additional information available at this time.
