Wilmington, NC (October 18, 2020) – The Wilmington Police Department investigated a crash that left one person injured on Friday, October 16th. The crash took place around 10:30 p.m. on New Center Drive near the intersection with North Kerr Avenue.
There is no word at this time on the events leading up to the crash or how the crash occurred, but police say that there were three vehicles involved. Rescue crews also responded to the scene following the accident. According to reports, one person was taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. There is no further update on the victim’s condition at this time and no additional injuries were reported due to the accident. The crash caused the road to be closed between New Center and Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway. Motorists were advised to avoid the area if possible.
