Wilmington, NC (June 19, 2021) – Police in Wilmington responded to the scene of a multi-car crash on Friday, June 18th. The collision took place around 9:00 p.m. on North Kerr Avenue near the intersection with New Centre Drive.
According to the Wilmington Police Department, at least two cars were involved in the accident. There has not been any information released regarding the events leading up to the crash. Rescue workers, including EMS crews, arrived shortly after the collision took place. Injuries were reported but there is no word on the extent of the injuries or the conditions of the victims. Those involved in the collision were not identified.
Traffic was backed up as police closed the southbound lanes while they investigated the accident. There is no further information available at this time.
