North Carolina Injury Accidents
Pedestrians who are involved in injury crashes in North Carolina are far more likely to suffer injuries than motorists who are in cars or larger vehicles. The rate of injuries in a North Carolina pedestrian crash is well over 80%. In 2018, there were 2,435 reported pedestrian accidents, and 2,210 reported injuries, along with 225 fatalities. Not only are pedestrians more likely to be hurt in the accident, but they are also more likely to be seriously hurt and even killed when the crash occurs.
If you have been affected by a pedestrian accident in North Carolina, you may be entitled to compensation. Many pedestrian accidents take place due to the negligence of other motorists. These drivers operate their vehicle in a careless manner by speeding, driving while impaired, texting while driving, and engaging in other violations of traffic and safety laws. Often, this negligent behavior leads to accidents, serious injuries, and even deaths, that were otherwise preventable.
