Car Accidents in North Carolina
Car accidents take place every day across North Carolina. According to statistics from the Department of Transportation, there are approximately 300,000 reported collisions in our state each year. This amounts to hundreds of crashes each day. A North Carolina car accident has the potential to be a life-changing event for victims as well as their families. While not every accident involves injuries, many of them do. Some common injuries that arise from crashes in North Carolina include broken bones, soft tissue injuries, head injuries, as well as neck and spinal cord trauma. These injuries can take weeks and months to heal and can certainly result in extensive medical costs and a long road to recovery.
If you have been involved in a crash that was not your fault, you should have a full understanding of your legal rights at the earliest possible stage of the case. It is important to remember that the goal of the insurance company is to settle your case as quickly and cheaply as possible. Most insurance adjusters will reach out to you immediately following the crash and will want to speak with you about the incident. Rather than talking to the adjuster, you should obtain legal representation as soon as possible to assist you with the claim.
